I think it's a year later...

Oh my goodness...before i knew it, i had completely deserted one of my favorite things to do...recording thoughts and stories of our crazy life. Maybe instead of monthly, I will shoot for yearly and at least won't be disappointing myself:) But there is no better time than the end of the year to reflect and acknowledge just how wonderfully lucky we are.
Anyway, since a whole year has passed I am not sure where to begin. (According to life with a one year old) First real easter, swimming/boating/trip to florida, talking talking talking, love of elmo and abby, actual hair growth, trick or treating, turkey day at the new house, actually participating in decorating our tree, and all of our first big snow in Asheville yesterday (15 inches) OMG did i mention that since our last post, she has been sleeping throught the night like such a good girl- its been so long, i almost forgot how long i went without sleeping and was literally a crazy person. She will probably be up tonight now that i have officially bragged out loud.
Danny and I have had our hands full to say the least. He is working from 5 ish am to 730pm some days. It has been full of juggling being a "stay at home mom that works" hhmmmm...Our restaurant Scully's is doing well and we moved locations for Beans and Berries and it is now a full on cafe. It has sort of taken on a personality of its own which we are all very proud of. I don't think we intended to open another restaurant but thats exactly what we have done. We opened a small version of it in the YMCA gym about 3 weeks ago and it seems to be doing well. So, dealing with all three businesses gets a lot tricky. We also found the house we decided to call our home. We love it and we all seem to have a little more breathing room for when we (I) have difficulty breathing because we (I) are so stressed out:) What i do have now is my very own office with a computer and a desk and a printer and a stapler and a mess that needs to be sorted. But i am super excited to have a place that i can work whenever Elliot lets me and will one day be totally organized!!
The kids are all doing amazing. Kyla started high school in September and loves it and is busy at all times playing soccer, basketball, and texting. She is super smart and is a really cool person, not to mention ridiculously pretty, not to mention the best big sis eva! Logan is now in 2nd grade and has grown immensely. He is also busy playing soccer and basketball. He almost has a whole new set of teeth. He says that his favorite part of the whole year was the 15 inches of snow we got yesterday. when I asked him what his favorite part of the summer was, he said that there was no snow:) Remember when you didn't know how to do anything other than live in the moment like that? Love it. Darling miss Elliot has grown like a freakin weed...and by that I mean she is likely to be the tallest almost 2 year old on the planet. She is gorgeous and SUPER sassy. Everyday she finds a way to frustrate the crap out of me and make me happier than i've ever been- an amazing ability...I think its the scully charm:) She is very vocal and a total extrovert. She has her BFF TT (Taylor) whom she loves to hug and kiss and then they proceed to yell and push each other over pretty much anything. They haven't yet learned to play together and share. But they are super cute and even better is that i get to hang out with one of my BFF's Brooke (Taylor's mom) and unwind and make each other feel normal and reassure each other that we are the best mom, wife, employer, (insert word) eva!
I am pretty sure we have a little performer on our hands. She L. O. V. E. S. to dance and sing and play musical intruments. If she sees anything that might resemble a stage or platform of some sort, she will hop right up and start dancing for anyone who might watch. Very entertaining. She is nonstop go go go go gogogogogo...which has been since the beginning, we have even gotten through our first broken leg already (was terribly sad) but now she runs again without a limp really fast and if you are in public and you try to stop her- well, she is likely to scream really loud. Its awesome. At the end of the day, when she is sleeping like an angel and I am sipping (gulping) my glass of wine, I wouldn't change a thing. Everything is just as it should be. new pictures to follow!
