My posse

Now that Sehra Delilah is turning into a little more than a cute baby blob, we are starting to get a glimpse of our family. I think I like it:)

My 4 year old daughter, Elliot JoAnn Scully

...continued
There is nothing like being away from my first born baby for the last 5 days to make me a weepy proud mama. Danny has taken Logan and Elliot to Indy for the super bowl and she doesn't miss me at all. She will get on the phone long enought to say "hi mama, do you want to talk to Logan?" and she's gone. She is having a blast with her cousins and her aunt Mimmy who is spoiling her rotten.

My little girl is four and she makes me so proud of her everyday. She is the coolest type of girl. She will "kick the ninjas" while wearing one of her princess gowns. She wants her nails painted and her hair done but she wants to run with the boys. She always has. She is so tall and so beautiful and ridiculously funny. She has the most expressive face, she doesn't have to say a word and you know exactly how she is feeling. She wants to perform for anyone who will watch. Although some of this is new. She has always been this way for us at home but somewhat shy around strangers or even taking a moment to warm up to people she knows but doesn't see everyday. All of that changed when we brought her baby sister Delilah home.

In the face of losing all of the attention, she now will talk the ear off the guy who comes to replace our gutters and will perform one of her dances for everyone at the grocery store. "hi, my name is Elliot, I'm four, I'm a big sister and my birthday was january ninth and i had three birthday parties, one at school, one at home, and one at the bouncy house place with all my friends, and ...whatever might have happened that day to her" She is all of the sudden the life of the party. The party don't stop, yo.

She is an amazing big sister. She loves her little sis so much. All she wants to do is love on her and breath on her and lick her and kiss her and mimick me, which makes me realize what an idiot I sound like when I am cooing and my baby.
This last year my baby girl Elliot went from a toddler to a little girl or almost a kid...aaaahhhh it's too fast. I don't know where to pinpoint when that happened. She doesn't miss a beat. As different as she is because she is getting so smart and can articulate her thoughts, she is just the same. She came out a firecracker and she still is. It is hard to get her to sit still unless she has stolen my phone and playing one of her games on them. Go ahead and judge, but it gives me an extra 15-30 minutes to get out of bed in the morning because she sneaks in and takes it back to her room. Yes, I said sneaks. She is no dummy.
I am so excited for this year ahead. I know she will master swimming because she was so close last year. She has been taking ballet which, of course, she is amazing. She has a recital in may at an actual theatre downtown asheville that I am counting the days until. She wants to take gymnastics again and play soccer again so we will be full and busy this spring for sure. She makes it hard to choose because everything she is introduced to, she loves. so we will fill our days with her having as much fun as possible and continue to watch in complete awe as our daughter flourishes and entertains us everyday. Seriously, if you haven't had a chance to be entertained by her, you are missing out. Come visit and spend some time with our funny girl, Elliot. I love you sweet baby girl. I amazed every night as i watch you fall asleep and i kiss your sweet cheeks, that you are mine.
